About the business and the role

IFTS is a K-12 independent school on the Central Coast and offers our students up to 2 hours of football-specific coaching daily.  The role is focused on working with students from years 3-12.   Coaching staff participate and lead football specific sessions, however, also support the school in the delivery of our general sports programs and coaching staff needs to demonstrate a willingness to encourage students to play multiple sports.  The coaching staff is also expected to be part of the school community supporting students with mentoring, assisting at times in-classroom support and general school supervision plus other general school administration tasks. Coaches will be expected to be available to coach their squads in external games and or tournaments as needed which can involve weekend or evening commitments.

This is a full-time role.

A Term 3 start is preferred (start date July 30th).  Interviews may be conducted via skype.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a squad of football students  
• Deliver multiple sports (staff will be upskilled if required) and assist with delivery of PDHPE practical sessions 
• Be part of the school community
• Provide feedback to the player and parents as to their progression with their football
• Be part of the school's welfare/house system and act as a mentor
• General school duties such as playground duties etc.
• Available to attend school events such as camps etc as required.

Skills and experience

• Minimum FFA or AFC C-Licence (or equivalent)
• Ideally experience in coaching 8-18 year olds 
• Commitment to receive feedback to help perform to your optimum
