Working Livestock Manager
Buckley Farms is located 28km North East of Mt Gambier, SA. We are a family farm specialising in Prime lambs and Potato production. We are looking for an experienced working livestock manager for our property of 1600ha with approximately 9500 head of self-replacing primeline composite ewes.
Responsibilities include:
Day to day management of livestock using your dogs and low stress stock handling techniques
Good communication skills with the capacity to maintain a cooperative work ethic, have a flexible approach with the ability to self-motivate and prioritise workloads during busy periods
Independently carrying out various R&M on sheep yards, fences and machinery
Maintaining the highest standards of animal health and welfare
Management of paddocks to estimate quality of pasture
Keeping accurate stock records
Delegation and direction of staff and contractors
