About the business
Dawbuts is a veterinary consultancy business based in Camden, NSW. Apart from our parasitology lab servicing over 1,500 clients across Australia, we do contract research, on-farm consultancy and training for the livestock industries.
About the role
We need a business-oriented Practice Manager with book-keeping or accounting credentials and customer service skills to join our team of vets and scientists. Job consists of book-keeping (currently using MYOB on-line), BAS, invoicing, accounts payable and inventory for the lab and research activities.

Hours are flexible (perm. part time possible) to suit the successful candidate and there is no travelling requirement.
Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, book-keeping, practice management or similar
- Thorough familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently
- Ability to be flexible in the developing role as part of a small business
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills
- Knowledge of the veterinary and animal health industry an advantage
