The Role

Broadspectrum is recruiting an Arborist to carry out arboriculture works in buhsland areas, reserves and open spaces You will conduct work in a manner which complies with Broadspectrum Mornington Peninsula Shire specified work standards. Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

• Ensure that technical procedures and inspection and test plans are performed in accordance with Quality Assurance and contract requirements
• Ability to use small plant and equipment
• Perform work in a safe manner, abiding by Broadspectrum and legislative safe work procedures, instructions and safety management practices
• Maintain and keep safe tools, equipment (including safety equipment), plant items, motor vehicles, trucks, and hired plant items
• Observe quality and technical procedures, work instructions and practices
• Ensure that technical and safety procedures are followed when maintenance and repairs are being undertaken;
• Report any incidents, spills or close calls;
• Ensure works are carried out with minimal disturbance to the environment and disruption to the community;
• Use supplied Personal Protective Equipment correctly and promptly report all defects;
• Timely completion of administrative paperwork;
• Maintain all plant and equipment and report details of all non-conforming work and/or materials to the responsible supervisor;
• Undertake Job Start Checklist as required

Requirements

• Construction Induction Card (White Card/Red Card)
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence (Manual)
• Level 1 & 2 Chainsaw Certification (cross cut)
• Road Traffic control Certificate

• Experience in tree, bushland and environmental management 

• MR/HR Truck Licence
