We are a licensed medicinal cannabis company. We are seeking an experienced agronomist who is ready for an adventure! The job involves six months in a small indoor facility in the south west, before managing a larger medical cannabis facility TBA.

The successful applicant will have qualifications in horticultural, viticulture or agricultural sciences, preferably with a focus in plant physiology and extensive experience in intensive cultivation, preferably in greenhouses.

The Role

The role is centred on plant propagation and cultivation with the aim of improving plant growth, yields, quality, and resistance to insects, diseases, and environmental stresses. Being able to grow without the use of pesticides is critical to the company.

Learning about the specific factors that influence the growth of the cannabis plant such as mould, mildew, pest prevention, and propagation fundamentals is essential to producing high quality commercial and consistent crops for pharmaceutical grade medicines.

It’s important for the right candidate to learn and understand:

• Specific light cycle needs.
• Nutrient and plant feeding schedules.
• CO2 enrichment.
• Ideal growing conditions.
• Temperature and humidity.
• Grow methods and mediums.

Requirements - You will:

• Possess the skills to manage the perpetual cannabis grow cycle in the most efficient manner.
• Understand organic pest management.
• Be highly motivated with a proven track record in agronomy.
• Place significant importance on the cleanliness of the grow environment.

• Work well as part of a collaborative team.

Highly desirable:

• Experience growing medical cannabis overseas.
• Experience growing in greenhouses.
• Experience with intense cultivation.
