Farm Personnel Required; Emerald Qld.
We currently have the following positions available on our progressive, expanding Mixed Farming Operation close to Emerald in CQ.
:Farmhand, (Must know which end of the tractor the plough goes on; good knowledge of irrigated & broad-acre farming)
:Machine Operator/Farmhand, (experience with laser levelling, excavator, loader etc).
With these roles you would be working closely with the manager & owners. You must be able to work both independently & as part of a small energetic team. If you are responsible, self motivated, take pride in your work, have a passion for farming & fit required skill set for role. We'd like to hear from you.
Experience with late model machinery & modern farming practices, exposure to GPS systems & sound mechanical aptitude would be highly regarded. MC Licence & Chemical accreditation highly regarded, but not essential.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Planting, maintenance & harvesting of both irrigated & dry land crops. Furrow irrigation, operation of self propelled spray rig & earthmoving equipment. Servicing & upkeep of equipment & assets.
These positions have an hourly rate of pay, & on farm accommodation for the right applicant.
