Mulgowie Farming Company is a leading grower, packer and marketer of fresh vegetables. Based in Bowen and reporting to the Packhouse Operations Manager, we are seeking a diligent person with previous experience in the farming industry to confidently perform the role of a Harvester Driver for the harvesting of corn and green beans. We have the opportunity of ongoing work throughout our operating areas in QLD, NSW and Victoria for those who are interested in travel to other locations.
To be successful in your application, you will need to address and have experience in the essential selection criteria and various desirable elements. This role may require travel to our other sites for seasonal requirements.
Essential:
- Relevant Harvester driving experience
- Harvest operation experience in the agricultural industry.
- Understanding of header settings for maximum crop yield
- Mechanical aptitude and asset / crop care mindset
- Customer Service disciplines
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Acceptance of the need for timely documentation to support operations
- Ability to have work for 12 months of the year throughout the East coast of Australia
- Flexible 24/7 day roster especially through peak production periods
Desirable:
- "Fresh market" crop harvesting experience
- Row crop / controlled farm traffic experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Row crop experience from ground preparation, crop tendering, irrigation and equipment maintenance
