WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE AACO GRADUATE PROGRAM?

As an AACo Graduate you will actively participate in work placements, undertake development activities and complete projects across a range of AACo business units to gain an understanding of the overall business and contribute to the success of the company.

WHAT ROLES CAN I APPLY FOR?

We have three (3) roles available, depending on your personal interests.

 

Extensive – working in the extensive business, our properties across Northern Territory and the Gulf of Queensland. This role will focus on the operational components of running a station including animal welfare, rangelands and commercial analytics to ensure the right cattle are moved at the right time through the supply chain.

 

Intensive – working in the intensive business, which includes our farms, feedlots and stations. This role will focus on operational components such as supply chain and logistics as well as genetic breeding, innovation and technology solutions to ensure the welfare of the cattle is at the highest standard and the product moves into the luxury market as per the company strategy.

 

Corporate – this role will be diverse in understanding the operational and commercial challenges and work with business leaders to translate this into a phenomenal dining experience. Rotations will include regional and metro placements. 

 

WHAT IS AACO LOOKING FOR IN A GRADUATE?

  • Must be in your final year of university study, or have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree - completed by December 2018
  • Possess full-time working rights in Australia.
  • Passion for our industry
  • You’ll very much be a team player, who enjoys drawing upon and sharing knowledge across the team and broader business with a focus on achieving business goals.
  • You will bring a high degree of numerical and analytical skills,
  • Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly developed communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Experience with preferred (eg. cattle handling, horse and two-wheel motorbike riding)
