Located in the Whitsundays, Coral Coast Barramundi is an industry leader in Barramundi Aquaculture.

Coral Coast Barramundi is a fully integrated farm with its own Broodtsock facility, Hatchery and Nursery rearing facility, Growout raceway system and a HACCP approved processing facility.

The position of Aquaculture Technician will be based in the Hatchery and Nursery, and may involve other aspects of the aquaculture process. It is a full-time 12 month contract position, with possibility of extension/permanent position.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Daily Broodstock Care
• Live feeds culture
• Larval rearing
• Feeding
• Testing Water Quality parameters
• Parasite checks and treatments
• Grading fingerlings
• Raceway and tank cleaning
• General maintenance etc.

Tertiary qualifications in Aquaculture or associated fields is required and some relevant experience is beneficial (particularly live feeds and larval culture), however, graduates who have a keen interest in aquaculture, and are hardworking, are encouraged to apply.

Onsite accommodation may be available for the right candidates, but not guaranteed. Rental accommodation is available in town (Bowen), 30 mins South of the Farm.
