 The Wildlife Management Officer is responsible for contributing to the design and delivery of place based projects and initiatives with a focus on overabundant wildlife including the delivery of the Koala Management Program and Kangaroo Pet Food Trial. It will support the development and implementation of a strengthened regulatory framework for the harvest management operations of the Blue-gum plantation Industry, delivery of on-ground wildlife management programs, and communications and engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed strategic and operational skills and proven ability to effectively plan, document and deliver projects within challenging and complex context and on time. They will have strong experience in working on a range of multidimensional/multi-disciplinary natural resource management issues and analyse a range of technical, regulatory and policy information to help with effective management.

This is a fixed-term position available for a period of 1 year.
