An exciting opportunity exists for someone who is passionate about supporting farmers and communities to produce clean and green food, implement sustainable production systems and participate in landcare.
The Peel-Harvey Catchment Council (Inc.) is calling for applications from a highly skilled and motivated practitioner to fill the role of Regional Landcare Facilitator for the Peel-Harvey NRM Region.
This 5 year contract position is best suited to someone with a high level of skills and experience in building, networking and engaging closely with community groups and stakeholders within the NRM environment, including farmers, with a particular focus on Sustainable/Regenerative Agriculture.
Applicants will need Tertiary qualifications in agriculture, natural resource/environmental management or social science, and/or demonstrated extensive experience in a relevant role. Demonstrated experience in project management and implementing project management methodologies with a natural resource management focus is also essential. The successful candidate will work closely with landholders and the community, and with local government, State agencies, industry and other NRM Regions, to ensure project outcomes are achieved in a timely manner and within budget.
In return the successful applicant will enjoy a positive, supportive and flexible work environment, hosted at the Peel-Harvey Catchment Council head office in Mandurah. The salary package is negotiable within range of $70,910 - $79,321 gross per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
