About Pawsability:
Pawsability is a small privately-run company that has been in existence since 2008. It operates out of its own training centre in Pascoe Vale South. We pride ourselves on creating individually evaluated methods and training programs for owners and their dogs. Our training programs include Puppy Kinder, Group Classes, Individual Consultations and Evaluations, and Dog Walking and Exercise. We also offer home stay as a service.
We are seeking a bright, engaging and passionate trainer to join our small enthusiastic team. You will have a chance to use your initiative in every situation, whilst still been mentored and coached through on the job training.
Role Responsibilities:
- Running Group Classes on Sunday mornings on a roster system
- Individual consultations with clients at their homes to help with behavioural issues
- Exercising Home Stay Dogs
- Private training walks
- Puppy Kinder twice weekly
Remuneration for Role:
Based on Miscellaneous Workers Award Starting at Level 2 for qualified Trainers with yearly reviews.
Casual Hourly Rates: $25.28 per/hour with weekend and public holiday penalty rates.
Essential Requirements:
- Must hold NDTF Certificate 3 (National Dog Trainers Federation) including completion of the unit “Taking Group Classes”
- Practical and hands on experience with different breeds of dogs and puppies
- A valid Drivers License beyond the probation period with own reliable vehicle.
- Enthusiastic, mature and highly motivated attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer focus
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team and follow rules and guidelines
- Physically able to handle and exercise dogs of all shapes and sizes.
