Shamrock Vale Station has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional STATION MECHANIC to join the team.
Situated only 12 km from Beaudesert in the Scenic Rim region of Queensland, Shamrock Vale Station remains a family owned and operated farm. Specialising in both cattle and cropping, our Wagyu herd is one of the best performing herds on the world stage.
As our Station Mechanic you will demonstrate:
• A sound ability to work within a team, have the skill set to provide mechanical expertise across cropping, irrigation and heavy machinery.
• Broad mechanical knowledge of farming equipment, able to do repairs, rebuilds and fabrication.
• Good investigative and problem solving skills.
• Pride in your work.
• You’ll need to understand farming or have the attitude that anything is possible and willing to learn.
• Flexibility is important to get the job done, and in the same way we will be flexible when you need it.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety.
• Display a positive, can-do attitude with a strong desire to complete all tasks to the best of your ability
• Good communication, organisation and effective time management skills
• Hold a current open HR or HC license would be very highly regarded.
• Various other adhoc duties as required by the role, sometimes you might be in the paddock operating machinery.
