Statement of Work:

A Statement of Work is a supplement that should be addressed for some of these roles to best position your application.

The Statement of Work (SOW) explains the specific industry/team knowledge and background, providing more contextual information for a person applying for a role which uses a generic role description.

The generic role description provides the broad accountabilities and requirements for the role and recognises that a ‘family’ of roles has much in common (in terms of accountabilities, challenges and capabilities). The additional context provided by the SOW then assists applicants to understand how to target and highlight their background and skills in relation to the specific role/s involved.

Please note that not all roles require SOWs. Those roles which do require an SOW for this role description will be outlined on the website through the “Apply for this job” button. Please read the website to see if an SOW applies for the role you wish to apply for.

Where an SOW applies, you may choose to address the role requirements in your cover letter so that your full claims for the position involved are presented fully.

In all cases, you should address the requirements by providing examples from your work history that demonstrate your skills, experience and capabilities as they apply to the role.
