ABOUT THE ROLE
As a member of the Commercial and Planning Team, the Planning Officer will support the Planning Analyst in the forecasting and planning of fish performance and production. This role will assist with monthly preparation of production reports, government and regulatory reports, and in providing internal and external customers with data requirements. While based in Hobart, this position will require regular intrastate visits across Huon Aquaculture sites.
Key duties include, but are not limited to, supporting the management of feed planning; facilities planning, including net, pen, bath and lease requirements; collecting, analysing and reporting data; monitoring issues and trends; and developing and maintaining databases. The Planning Officer will also work with the Operations Support Analyst and IT to help improve the efficiencies of data entry.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated candidates who possess a positive and cooperative attitude. You will hold a degree that includes, or is supplemented by, one or a combination of the following: aquaculture, agricultural or environmental science. You will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, well-developed communication skills, and have an analytical approach. The ability to work effectively autonomously and within a team is essential.
New graduates with demonstrated ability in reviewing, developing, implementing, and maintaining agricultural, aquaculture or environmental planning systems (via demonstrated industry projects, work experience, or practical or personal experience) are encouraged to apply.
