About the role:
This is a diverse role based in the Hawkesbury Region (Clarendon NSW). You will be leading and supervising the day to day work of 2-3 people, and working beside them in the Nursery. There is opportunity to be involved with plant research and breeding, along with progression into management for the right candidate. A stable job with a steady amount of work to do, full time Monday to Friday with occasional weekend watering if required. Some of your duties would include:
- Oversee the work of 2-3 people (with hands on work)
- Propagation (division, cuttings, sowing seed)
- Potting
- Plant maintenance
- Monitor plants for pests and disease
- Monitor watering
- Stock control and ordering of growing media, fertilisers, pots etc.
- Keep nursery bays organised and clean
- Record work completed

Ozbreed is a small business in the Nursery Industry with a focus on the landscape market. The team is based in the beautiful Hawkesbury region. Our plant varieties are sold around Australia and overseas, with a royalty collection system. Our product range has expanded over the years, along with the addition of our online store. The nursery is focused on propagation, breeding, research and development of new plants.
Skills and Experience (required):
- Horticulture qualification and/or nursery experience
- Basic use of computers (training provided for irrigation program)
- Driver’s License and own transport
