We are a well established, large and expanding poultry broiler growing business and seek to employ a full time experienced hands on Farm Manager to work on a large modern and automated 8 shed site in Moolort, Victoria. Your proven capability and drive to achieve optimum results are sought. The successful applicant must be prepared to work directly with livestock, after hours and weekend work will be required. To be considered for this role you will have had a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a poultry farm manager. Those with a business/agricultural degree or related field experience should apply.
Key Responsibilities include ability to prioritise staff workload, proficiently operate all machinery and plant, feed management and bird collection, daily shed servicing, grounds maintenance, accurate record keeping, maintain and adhere to company policies and procedures, proficient to operate the Fancom computer system. Demonstrate a sound understanding of ability to operate an RSPCA accredited farm. Understand WH&S practices. You should have the ability to analyse and improve the overall efficiency of the operation.

Key Skills and Attributes Have a passion for agriculture and be results driven, be a self starter and motivator. Ability to demonstrate sound work ethic and capabilities. Have planning and forecasting capability. Good communication and organisational skills. Must be able to work both independently and responsibly and be committed to providing sustainable livestock management practices. Mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
This position is ideally suited to a family person. The property has a rural outlook and there are bus facilities for access to schools. The local town has a great sporting culture and offers many services and amenities.
