  • Salary range - $92,470 - $102,359 + super and leave loading

About the role

This role is responsible for coordinating regional weed and pest initiatives across the Hunter Local Land Services area of NSW.  To be successful in this role you must have a strong stakeholder and customer focus, be able to effectively develop, administer and manage external contracts and be effective in balancing conflicting goals and deadlines. You will also need to be someone who can develop solutions to complex problems, coordinate cross-tenure approaches and be innovative in translating the latest research and technological innovations into new programs.

The position is also responsible for coordination of the Hunter Regional Weed Committee, Regional Pest Animal Committee and weed management programs and initiatives to drive implementation of the Hunter Regional Strategic Weed Management Plan. It is expected that the role will be involved in seeking out and developing new funding opportunities for weed management in the region.

Essential requirements

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have drive and experience in weed management; strategic planning; committee governance and coordination;  project and contract management including budget control and reporting; collaboration and teamwork; communication and facilitation; networking and partnership development and reporting. Knowledge of pest animal management will also be advantageous for this role. You will also require a driver’s licence and be prepared to travel across the region to support stakeholders.
