About the role
The Zone Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of Zone Operations. This includes planning equipment and labour needs to enable new fish intakes, net changes, up-sizing and pen movements and developing weekly work plans to ensure daily tasks are carried out according to plans, or changes are made in line with weather and resource availability to maximise productivity and maintain a safe work environment.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of Certificate 3 in Aquaculture, a valid coxswains and a driver’s licence. Tertiary qualifications in Aquaculture, Science or another related discipline are highly regarded but not essential. It is essential that you have previous experience leading, developing and motivating a small team, extensive knowledge of fish husbandry and the aquaculture industry.
Strong attention to detail, well developed communication skills, and the ability to build robust and meaningful relationships with key stakeholders is also required. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and detailed knowledge of work health and safety regulations are essential.
