About the role
Based at our Storm Bay Zone 2 site, near Tinderbox, the Assistant Zone Manager is responsible for assisting the Zone Manager with all aspects of managing the Zone Operations. This includes the set-up of this new zone, assisting with planning equipment and labour needs to enable new fish intakes, net changes, up-sizing and pen movements. The Assistant Zone Manager will also develop weekly work plans with the Zone Manager to ensure daily tasks are carried out according to plans, or changes are made in line with weather and resource availability to maximise productivity and maintain a safe work environment.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of Certificate 3 in Aquaculture, a valid coxswains and a driver’s licence. It is essential that you have previous experience leading, developing and motivating a team, and extensive knowledge of the aquaculture industry.
Strong attention to detail, well developed communication skills, and the ability to build robust and meaningful relationships with key stakeholders is also required. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and detailed knowledge of work health and safety regulations are essential.
