Our Client

Our client is a mixed farming property including a free range piggery, grain and cattle, situated on over 10,000 prime acres near Goondiwindi on Queensland’s fertile Darling Downs. They provide their staff with a professional and positive work environment – offering fulfilling, diverse and rewarding work.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator / Machine Operator to join their property near Goondiwindi QLD.

Reporting to the Operations Manager some of your responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing farm machinery
  • Servicing trucks, tractors, trailers, tippers, loaders, graders, telehandlers, small motors etc.
  • Develop and maintain a maintenance plan and service schedule
  • Identify preventative maintenance requirements for all mobile and fixed assets 
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • 3+ years experience in a similar maintenance and repair role 
  • Ability to maintain heavy pieces of machinery such as tractors and telehandlers
  • Current drivers licence and reliable vehicle
  • A relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualification (desirable)
  • Previous welding experience and knowledge of auto electrics (desirable)
  • A truck/grader licence (desirable) 
The ideal candidate for this role will have the ability to work autonomously with strong communication skills. You will also enjoy working effectively and collaboratively with a small team.
