FARM ASSISTANT
MANAGER
An opportunity has become available to join a young,
progressive team as an Assistant Manager on a large-scale
livestock property.
Situated in the north part of Victoria’s Western District (near the
South Australian border), the property plays host to a livestock
business running up to 40,000 DSEs, primarily made of
breeding ewes – both wool and lamb producing, and also
includes trade cattle.
As the assistant manager you would be directly responsible to
implement the day-to-day management plan in consultation
with the manager. There will be a requirement to manage other
employees and contractors.
Essential Skills/Criteria include:
Willing to work in a team environment
Friendly and helpful attitude
Previous experience working with livestock
Own working dogs
Fencing and livestock water system maintenance
There will be an opportunity to be involved in researching and implementing potential new enterprises to expand the business and value add the current turn off.
An attractive renumeration package will be available to the right applicant which includes a 5-bedroom house. School bus comes to the property.
