The Team Leader is responsible for delivering services that support the sustainability of industry and water resources within the South Australian Arid Lands Natural Resources Management Region. The core responsibility of the Team Leader is to liaise and consult with strategic partners, primary producers and key industry groups to promote best practice in natural resource management through tailored engagement approaches and timely access to information and resources.
The role requires a knowledgeable and experienced individual with strong communication and negotiation skills developed in a Natural Resource Management or equivalent field. We require a Team Leader with strengths in people, project and stakeholder management who can take project initiatives from concept to successful implementation. The position also manages the delivery of statutory requirements and operational activities for the NRM Board’s water management program.
Located in Port Augusta at the top of Spencer Gulf which offers a great outdoor lifestyle close to the Flinders Ranges, Eyre Peninsula and outback. The role requires occasional remote distance driving and overnight absences.
If you have a degree in natural resource management, biodiversity management, ecology or equivalent, with a proven track record in project management and developing partnerships with stakeholders to achieve outcomes we would like to hear from you.
