About the business

• *Riding for the Disabled NSW Wagga Centre is a registered not for profit organisation offering equine experiences to people with disabilities.
• Operates 6 days a week and caters for 130 clients
• Is situated on 25 acres 
• Runs up to 18 horses.
• Is primarily run by volunteers.
• Very rewarding and friendly environment.

About the role

• 38 hour week with flexible hours
• Salaried position
• Central role to the running of the centre
• Manage small acreage and manage horse welfare
• Maintain grounds and public amenities including mowing and cleaning
• Work alongside coaches, volunteers and people with disabilities

Skills and experience

• Knowledge of and practical experience in running and maintaining small farm acreage
• Good pasture management and feed budgeting skills
• Excellent horse husbandry and handling skills.
• Reliability, self-motivated and able to work alone and in a team environment
• A positive work ethic and sound Workplace Health and Safety standards
• Ability to supervise and work with people with disabilities
• Experience in operating small tractor and workshop equipment
• Good data recording and reporting skills.
• Ability to trial new and work existing horses would be an advantage
