OzChild is expanding the Functional Family Therapy Child Welfare (FFT-CW) Program which will be delivered from our newly established office in Ringwood, to prevent children entering the care system.

The Opportunity
The FFT-CW model has clear requirements of staff experience and qualifications.
We are seeking tertiary qualified candidates from the following disciplines; Psychologists, counsellors, family therapists with experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families.
To set you for success you and your team will be closely supported by the model developers with structured professional development and training to implement the model with fidelity increasing the likelihood of achieving sustainable outcomes.
Suitably qualified candidates with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background are strongly encouraged to apply for these roles.

Key responsibilities will include
- Lead a team of family practitioners providing home-based interventions adhering to Functional Family Therapy - Child Welfare (FFT - CW) model.
- Creating written phase & session plans that are tailored to the family
- Using methods compatible with principles and practices of specified model, provide direct engagement, motivation and generalization.
- Addressing the needs of clients through model adherent referrals to community partners.
- Working with the team to identify and overcome barriers to engagement/motivation.
Specific requirements include
- Masters level social work or psychology or a bachelor's in social work or psychology with five plus years clinical experience
- Experience in family and systems therapy, counselling, clinical or therapeutic work with children, youth and families
- Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities.
- Experience in developing and leading teams.
