About the Opportunity
Nexus Human Services has a number of exciting opportunities for full-time Employment Consultants to join their team in Braddon, ACT.
As an Employment Consultant you will be assisting people with a disability, or who are recovering from a mental illness, with the goal of them achieving independent and meaningful employment.
Reverse marketing can significantly improve the chances of employment for people with a disability or mental health issue, as you will actively market job seekers to potential employers, rather than employers requesting job seekers with specific skills. This will be achieved by:
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with employers, and marketing Nexus services / advantages to them;
- Managing a specific caseload whilst actively marketing clients to potential employers;
- Liaising with employers regarding upcoming and current vacancies in their organisation;
- Providing post placement support to employers;
- Supporting and liaising with DES staff to place them in appropriate jobs;
- Working with the DES group to identify areas of marketing opportunities and/or maintain employer database; and
- Acting as a link between Employers and Nexus.
