Trainer/Assessor – Early Childhood Education and Care

Locations: One or more roles available across New England and North West, and Hunter

About the Role

We’re seeking one or more dynamic, flexible and enthusiastic Trainer/Assessors in CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and/or CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Located preferably in the New England and north West, and/or Newcastle or Lower Hunter areas, Trainer/Assessors will be willing to travel and are skilled in delivering training and assessment in classroom, workplace based, online and distance delivery modes. Some traineeship supervision is also required.

The role is offered on casual basis. Working hours will be approximately 15 – 25 hours per week during classroom delivery periods (17-26 weeks duration) with single student/trainee supervision undertaken on a per unit basis. This role is based in our Training team and reports to the Executive Manager - Social Enterprises & Training.

 About You

  • an understanding of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015; and

  • an outgoing, resilient and adaptable nature,

You must be flexible and capable of delivering tailored training to a diverse range of people including those who may have limited work-experience. You will have demonstrated experience in group facilitation and training.

To be considered for the role, you must hold:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 + LLN unit, or its successor);

  • Certificate III (or above) qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care;

  • At least three years full time equivalent experience in the Early Childhood industry, not including any time spent in a traineeship;

  • Current (within the last three years) industry experience;

  • A current Working With Children check (or able to obtain); and

  • A current class C drivers licence.

Offers of to enter into a contract may be subject to a National Criminal Record check.
