About the role:
Targeted Care Packages (TCPs) are an allocation of funding attached to a specific child or young person based on an assessment of that child’s needs. They aim to enable the transition of the child from residential care into an alternate living arrangement where their experience of care is more positive, and their needs better met. As the Flexible Packages Coordinator, you will be responsible for the implementation of these packages, as well as supervise the TCP Key Workers who provide overarching case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically and creatively work with MacKillop and the Department Health and Human Services (DHHS) to implement approved TCPs and support young people’s long term stability
- Actively participate with a range of stakeholders to ensure the child or young person’s needs, best interests and cultural competencies are met
- Supervise TCP Key Workers and support staff to regularly acquit and report on active TCPs to DHHS
About you:
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology and/or related behavioural sciences at degree level with relevant experience; or associate diploma level with substantial experience in the relevant service stream
- Demonstrated experience in supervising a multidisciplinary staffing group, particular experience in regular supervision and reflective practice
- Well-developed time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and interests
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with complex families, children and young people including experience in residential care, home based care, disability, family support and reunification
