About the role

You will be a leader responsible for activities that are designed to enhance the physical, cultural, spiritual and social well-being of our residents. During your varied day you will be responsible for providing activities that are designed to enhance the quality of life of our residents. You will be ensuring that the Positive Well Being Model is implemented and continues to be delivered in conjunction with the clinical team. Evaluating group and individual lifestyle programs and facilitating the participation of residents in a variety of experiences you will be improving their quality of life. You will also assist a team of allied health professionals to assess resident's individual needs.

This position is based in Stanthorpe in the beautiful Granite Belt region. The region offers a laid back country lifestyle with distinct natural landscapes, fresh local produce and events and festivals celebrated across all four seasons. About you

You thrive on innovation when it comes to enriching the lives of the elderly. Whether it be a concert at the facility or a day out on the bus, your main goals are to motivate, inspire and involve the residents. You are passionate about lifestyle therapy, with excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. You have a fun loving nature along with compassion and understanding of individual needs.

Ideally you will have:

  • A Diploma in Leisure and Health or equivalent;
  • Experience in developing and implementing contemporary leisure and recreational programs, within the Aged Care industry;
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Accreditation process, Standard 3;
  • A current First Aid certificate is highly desirable.
