About the Position

You will provide quality care, a youth friendly homelike environment, supervision and trauma informed support to young people in statutory care placed in our 24/7 General Residential Service. You will be resilient and able to engage meaningfully with young people with challenging behaviours and be familiar with de-escalation strategies. Your collaborative approach, team work skills and commitment to young people means you will be resilient, motivating and able to help prepare young people for reengagement in education and employment pathways and create opportunities for participation in culturally affirming activities and community life. Your writing and IT skills mean service data and record keeping requirements will be met in timely manner. The position involves shift work on a 24/7 roster.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess an NT Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence. You must also be willing to undergo a National Child Protection Check prior to employment with Anglicare NT.
