SYC has been successful in securing Career Transition Assistance (CTA) Contracts.  Career Transition Assistance (CTA) for mature age people, provides opportunities to identify and articulate transferable skills; develop IT skills; increase job readiness and target job search to local industries and available jobs.  

SYC is now seeking a part-time (0.4 - 0.8FTE) Career Transitions Team Facilitator to work across the following areas:

  • Adelaide, Christies Beach, Glenelg, Goolwa, Marion, Mount Barker

Duties of the successful applicant include:

  • Providing tailored career assistance guidance and support to participants.
  • Conducting a Career Pathway Assessment.
  • Developing a tailored Career Pathway Plan.
  • Assisting participants to understand the local job market, industries and opportunities available to them.
  • Providing computer literacy training to support participants to achieve their career pathway plan. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in one of the following fields: Employment Services, Career Development, Training and Assessment, Professional Development/Coaching or similar at minimum Certificate IV level is essential.
  • Proven experience in the career/professional development/coaching sector.
  • Experience working with mature age people.
  • Possession of a current valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive is required.
  • Digital literacy experience is highly desirable.
