This Large NFP has been providing support to families in the Sydney region for decades. They provide short and long-term support to young people.

Role

We are currently looking for a Registered Psychologist who is interested in working within the child and family sector. This role will entail providing support and guidance to a small team and identify the gaps in the service. The role will also provide assistance to the CEO. You will primarily assess behavioural support plans. The role is available immediately. It is one day a week and they are flexible which day you chose.

Qualifications

In order to be considered for these roles you will require;

  • Full AHPRA registration
  • At least 1-2 years experience working with children and young people experiencing complex trauma and working with families within the child protection system;
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply therapeutic and trauma informed practice principles
  • Demonstrate capacity to apply strengths based practice and recovery oriented approaches
  • Ability to support both children and young people in the context of crisis and critical incidents
  • Strong written skills and previous experience in report writing.
