UnitingCare SA is based in the administrative head office of the Uniting Church in Australia, supporting a large network of UnitingCare organisations that provide a diverse range of educational and community services across South Australia.
UnitingCare SA is seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled team member for the permanent part time (0.6FTE) position of Synergy Manager (Procurement Contracts).
Reporting to the Executive Officer, UnitingCare the Synergy Manager is responsible for managing joint procurement activities for the Synod and associated organisations. These activities include identifying and successfully completing new procurement contracts and managing and re-negotiating existing goods and services contracts. The Synergy Manager also represents the Uniting Church Synod and its associated organisations in national procurement networking forums.
The successful applicant will be required to have:
- Significant experience in a similar procurement or project management position
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and purchasing contract processes
- Experience in managing service contracts
- A demonstrated ability to understand and analyse financial information
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to facilitate workshops and presentations with diverse audiences
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, project management or a related discipline
- A commitment to the Uniting Church ethos
- Experience working within a Uniting Church organisation or the not-for-profit sector, will be highly regarded
