Team Leader: Financial Well-being Hub
Wunan is looking a Team Leader to lead and manage delivery of Financial Wellbeing services based in Kununurra.
The person we are looking for will have the capacity to:
- Lead, supervise, support and drive the work of a small team
- Engage with, and be responsive to, users of these services in one-on-one and small group sessions
- Plan, schedule and confidently deliver a series of financial wellbeing workshops
- Support people to move from financial crisis to greater financial self reliance
- Track the progress of service users over time
- Accurately collect and record service data
- Work collaboratively with funding bodies and external service delivery partners.
- Write performance reports for Wunan and funding bodies, with the assistance of the Manager Financial Wellbeing and Housing.
- Administer Financial Wellbeing services.
The successful applicant must have:
- National Police Clearance
- Valid Driver licence and willingness to travel on official business
- Understand the financial wellbeing needs and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and appropriately link them to relevant services and products.
- Relevant tertiary or other post-school qualifications will be well regarded.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

- Demonstrated effective communication skills including data recording, report writing, networking, negotiating and Clients relationship building.
- Demonstrated administration and organisation skills including information management, staff management and time management skills.
- Familiarity with the effective management of government programs particularly in Financial counselling or other related programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous Culture and the issues / challenges faced in working with children, parents and family.
- Cultural competencies and the ability to work across cultural differences.
