About the Opportunity

Our new Anglicare Corporate Services function has been designed to support and strengthen our Client Service teams. As a result, we have a number of new management and professional opportunities across four departments (Organisational Development, Governance, Risk & Assurance, ICT, Finance).

This is an exciting time to join Anglicare during transformation to reimagine new innovative ways of serving our current and future clients with the opportunity to make a positive contribution and difference.

The Department & Role

Governance, Risk & Assurance is a new Department responsible for positioning Anglicare to be in step with progressive reforms and advancing clinical and care excellence through governance, strategic research, quality assurance and risk management.

Reporting to the Research & Innovation Lead (new position), you will be responsible for:

  • Research, analysis, and advice on best practice and innovative models/frameworks in line with the clinical and care governance framework and legislative reforms
  • Policy development in the specialty area
  • Leading and developing evidence-based approaches through to effective practice translation.

Key expected outcomes for this role include:

  • Lead and deliver best practice research, excellence, and innovation (approaches & outcomes) to position Anglicare as an industry leader
  • Successful implementation of contemporary evidence-based models/frameworks which informs capability and practice development (i.e. standards, benchmarks)

About You

  • Recent clinical practice with a minimum of 7 years' experience with advanced skills and expertise in Aged Care or related (recognised subject matter expert)
  • Track record of professional leadership in Aged Care or related
  • Demonstrated experience in leading/developing research best practice and evidence-based models/approaches, including effective practice translation
  • Demonstrated success in implementing innovative, best practice models
  • Highly developed research skills, analytical thinking, and policy development skills
  • In-depth understanding of aged care policy, legislation and the reform agenda, aged care accreditation
  • Proven consulting and advisory skills
  • Credible, engaging communicator and highly effective report writer
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or AHPRA registration.
