About the Opportunity

Our new Anglicare Corporate Services function has been designed to support and strengthen our Client Service teams. As a result, we have a number of new management and professional opportunities across four departments (Organisational Development, Governance, Risk & Assurance, ICT, Finance).

This is an exciting time to join Anglicare during transformation to reimagine new innovative ways of serving our current and future clients with the opportunity to make a positive contribution and difference.

The Department & Role

Governance, Risk & Assurance is a new Department responsible for positioning Anglicare to be in step with progressive reforms and advancing clinical and care excellence through governance, strategic research, quality assurance and risk management.

Reporting to the Assurance & Risk Lead (new position), the Assurance & Risk Co-ordinator will be responsible for implementation of best practice quality management systems and programmes of activity for the Children & Families portfolio to align with evidence-based models, standards and legislative requirements, risk management practices, and continuous improvement (systems, process, culture).

Key expected outcomes:

  • Assurance of effective risk monitoring and management at Service level
  • Supporting best practice and ensure facilities maintain Accreditation standards beyond compliance requirements
  • Ownership and responsibility for assurance outcomes, including proactive analysis of trends and indicators.

About You

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance & Risk Management
  • Credible, professional leadership in quality assurance and risk management with strong client facing skills
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing best practice quality management systems
  • Experienced with application of integrated risk management frameworks
  • In-depth understanding of child protection policy, legislation, and the reform agenda (including Human Services Quality Framework and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework)
  • Systems and critical thinker with demonstrated analytical skills
  • Track record of delivering systemic continuous improvement
  • Proven consulting, facilitation, and advisory skills
  • Experience with quality/risk/safety information systems (e.g. RiskMan)
  • Credible, engaging communicator and highly effective report writer
  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
