About the business and the role

APM Specialises in Employment Services, Injury Management, Vocational Rehabilitatin, Assessment, Allied Health Intervention, and Community Care. We deliver a Youth Employment Service for the Central Coast and Hunter Regions and are looking for motivated Employment Consultants to be located in Wyong.

This is an exciting opportunity if you enjoy service delivery at an operational level, have experience in working with Youth and are looking to make a difference in the community.

This role will focus on building relationships with various community service organisations, education providers and employers; and understanding what other services and supports are available and needed in the community.

Job tasks and responsibilities

You will utalise your knowledge of community service organisations to assist in overcoming non employment barriers of young people with complex needs. Your coaching and mentoring skills will allow you to identify and coordinate wraparound supports for participants.. You will also play a key part in the development of a Youth Employment Service within APM.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in working with Youth, in particular assisting in overcoming non employment barriers
  • Proven ability working to targets and KPI's
  • Strong administration skills and ability to work to compliance regulations
  • Ability to develop key stakeholder and community links and business relationships
  • Ability to motivate and encourage others
  • Excellent communication skills across both verbal and written platforms

Please note, employment with APM is dependent on the following essential criteria being satisfied: eligibility to work in Australia, current drivers licence, access to a comprehensively insured vehicle, national police clearance and working with children check.
