About the role:

We are currently seeking a Funeral Coordinator to join our team based at our North Perth Location.

As a Funeral Coordinator you will be working amongst the Shared Services team and will have a direct impact on the operations of our funeral services.

Duties:

  • Coordinating the delivery of funerals by effective allocation of staff, vehicles and facilities, and administration efficiently and cost management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all levels of contact with external and internal customers, by telephone and face-to-face.
  • Provision of funeral scheduling, rostering and transfers across all of Perth area
  • Responsible for coordinating the transfer of the deceased from point of pick up to the necessary location and assist with the manual handling of the deceased at that point as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a scheduling, rostering or logistics role, to balance the needs of the business, resources and staff
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail to ensure excellent customer service
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal to provide statewide direction and services to a variety of stakeholders
  • High attention to detail
  • Have the ability to manage a high volume of calls
  • Be at ease with death, the expression of grief and handling deceased people
  • Balance supervisory responsibilities by working closely with management and all operational staff.
  • Continually show awareness of the impacts of decisions on the customer, employee and the financial/operational outcomes to the business
  • An understanding of the funeral service industry and its operations are highly regarded.
