Warner Youth Education is a privately-owned organisation dedicated to providing educational programs which make a real difference in communities.We work with government, education, law enforcement and community stakeholders throughout Australia to develop positive and healthy attitudes in young people and prevent youth crime and anti-social behaviour.

We deliver engaging, entertaining educational programs strategically designed to develop desired attitudes and behaviour in youth - which translates into safer and healthier communities.

 

Key Functions

Reporting to the Managing Director of the Warner Group you will be required to work four days per week (or full time by negotiation), effectively leading and managing the Warner Youth Education division including the following key functions:

  1. Design, develop and refine Warner Youth Education Products
  2. Grow the business whilst providing excellent customer service to existing clients
  3. Lead & Manage people to ensure our participant focused service delivery is further enhanced.
  4. Undertake planning and implementation, including financial management, to achieve the organisations plan
  5. Ensure efficient and effective operations of the business
  6. Implement and monitor quality Measures & Controls
  7. Deliver exceptional stakeholder relationships driving our brand perception

More specifically:

Design, develop and refine Warner Institute Products

  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of graffiti culture and  alcohol trends and ensure WYE programs are kept abreast 
  • Ensure up-to-date pubic relation campaigns, advertising and client support materials (e.g. information leaflets, surveys, etc).
  • Write Programs, including script refinement/development
  • Monitor program performance and evaluation of programs, specifically the on-going measurement of student and teacher feedback (satisfaction, attitudes and behaviour) and make modifications as required.
  • Maintain & Develop the WYE Website to meet the needs of the evolving programs

Grow the business whilst providing excellent customer service to existing clients

  • Seek sales opportunities in new areas and within current product groupings including networking and researching potential community trends/issues/programs
  • Present as required at community safety/graffiti forums, digital marketing campaigns, across QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS, SA
  • Attend exhibitions as required and in line with marketing strategy
  • Research & develop tenders and cost proposals for new clients (includes researching schools, students, program numbers etc)
  • Seek funding opportunities that can be used by clients
  • Support clients in the preparation of funding submissions
  • Manage existing clients including regular updates to existing clients, feedback reports, attending contract meetings

Lead & Manage people to ensure our participant focused service delivery is further enhanced

  • Work with the support of the Human Resource Manager to recruit, induct and effectively manage Warner Youth Education staff and Presenters and maintain high levels of engagement, satisfaction and compliance.
  • Develop, coach, mentor and support staff and Presenters

Undertake planning and implementation, including financial management, to achieve the organisations plan

  • Prepare and review the annual operational plan and budget for Warner Youth Education in consultation with the Managing Director

Ensure efficient and effective operations of the business

  • Oversee School Recruitment including forward planning and reaching school targets
  • Oversee the presenters and delivery to schools, including quality control visits, supervised visits with clients, travel arrangements and costs
  • Monitor program performance and evaluation of programs,
  • Ensure adherence to policy & procedures and update on a regular basis to comply with regulations, eg: OHS
  • Manage & report cash flow/invoicing schedules
  • Prepare pricing for quotes and proposals
     

Implement and monitor quality Measures & Controls

  • Monitor a dashboard of measures and controls, updating as required to ensure relevance to compliance and business requirements
  • On an on-going basis, critically evaluate all contracts and services you are responsible for, interpreting and anticipating performance trends and intervene to ensure that performance targets are met or exceeded and service standards are maintained at a high level.

Deliver exceptional stakeholder relationships driving our brand perception

  • Conduct all communications and relationships with a respectful and collaborative approach
  • Represent Warner Youth Education in a positive and professional manner

What you'll bring

Knowledge & Experience in:

  • Evidence of growing a business in a business development role or similar
  • Evidence of “all rounder” activities
  • Highly developed Presentation skills – documentation and as a presenter
  • Ethical and committed to growing the business for the cause and to achieve a bottom line in line with plans
  • Good people management skills
  • Appreciation and preferably qualifications in youth area

Personal Characteristics

  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Proactive and positive

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications (Psychology or studies in a related field an advantage)
