The position
The After Hours Response Team support the needs of children, young people, staff and carers across Marist180’s Intensive Therapeutic Care, Unaccompanied Humanitarian Minors, Family Preservation, Therapeutic Services and Homelessness Programs during non-regular business hours.
You will be responsible for responding to crisis and emergency requests from staff, service users and carers; rostering and staffing needs, administrative tasks, and maintaining casework and service standards. You will also manage any challenging behaviours that may arise and participate in the implementation of specific aspects relating to the organisations goals and plans, in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
The candidate
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic workers to join the After Hours Response Team to assist our young people and staff across the agency. Our ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum Diploma in Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Experience working with disadvantaged communities including: family, young people, refugees, asylum seekers, adults,
- Extensive experience working within a residential setting, in particular with young people who have experienced complex trauma
- Ability to work 24/7 rotating shifts
- High level of computer literacy and report writing skills
- The right to live and work in Australia
