Simply Helping is a local In Home Care organisation operating in the Geelong and Barwon Region, including Bellarine, Surfcoast, Winchelsea and Bannockburn areas since February 2014. We provide a range of services which support individuals and families, from young children to the aged, and which include Personal Care, Respite Care and Home Help for clients who may be aged or have a physical or mental health issue.
We are seeking staff who are compassionate people, who are caring in nature, sensitive to the needs of others, have good interpersonal and communication skills, and have a flexible approach to their work.
Our staff support clients in a variety of ways including meal preparation, shopping, personal care and respite, child care, household duties, companionship, community access and transportation.
What you will need:
- Training in or currently training towards a community services qualification, such as Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Occupational Therapy. If you are still training you must have completed suitable placement.
- Experience in community services work, in home care, disabilities
- Current Police Check (within the last 12 months)
- Current First Aid Certificate (within the last 3 years)
- Current CPR Certificate (within the last 12 months)
- Current driver licence
- A registered and reliable vehicle (with Comprehensive Insurance)
- Current Working with Children Check with employee status (if relevant to your clients)
- Undergo a DWES Check if successful
- Mobile phone and access to the internet
- Good communication and follow up skills
- Ability to keep track of your schedules
