Manager Support Services - Accommodation
Full Time (38 hours/week)
Mercy Connect is a Catholic organisation sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy providing professional clinical and accommodation support services to people with intellectual and physical disabilities, acquired brain injury and psychiatric conditions. We are based in Thurgoona with branches in regional NSW and Victoria.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Services Manager, Accommodation based at our head office in Thurgoona. Reporting to the Executive Leader Clinical Services, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring organisational service and financial sustainability in the context of the changing internal and external environment in which we operate.
As a key member of the management team, key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching and supporting teams to enable members to work within a person centred framework
- Providing operational business and financial support and advice to Team Leaders
- Facilitating the development and implementation of business plans and budgets to meet Participant and SIL service goals and objectives
- Assisting to build systems, practice and procedures to consolidate the Mercy Connect brand and service delivery
- Proactively maintaining and reviewing the work environment and following organisation procedures to achieve a physically and emotionally safe team environment.
- Availability to be included in the on call roster.
Key Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated leadership qualities supporting a person-centred service within the disability or other relevant sector
- Demonstrated understanding of service standards and their implementation and monitoring of effective performance of support services
- High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
- Highly developed oral and written communication and negotiation skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
