About the opportunity
Due to the huge growth in client numbers, we have experienced through the roll out of the NDIS. Our Lifestyle Centres in our Central East District- Ashfield, Belmore and Guildford are now looking for Lifestyle Assistants who have extensive experience in disability

Our Lifestyle Centres offer many community access programs, as well as internal programs throughout the week, and are known for their high levels of activity and client engagement. Some of the duties and responsibilities in the role will include, but not be limited to:

 - Personal care assistance
 - Transportation to and from numerous community access programs
 - Medication and 1:1 individual support
 - 7 days per week roster
 - Professional experience handling challenging behaviours
 - All other support related duties as needed
 - Cooking and baking

About the candidate
As this is a client facing position, it is very important that the successful candidate not only displays the qualities needed for an experienced Lifestyle Assistant, but that they have proven skills and experience in the following:

  • Genuine interest, experience in working with people with disability
  • Strong administrative skills
  • To be able to follow and implement individual service plans, healthcare and positive behaviour support plans
  • Experience in working with customers who have complex and challenging support needs is essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team and effective communication skills;
  • Previous experience completing daily notes, incident reports, case notes and other administration
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current NSW Driver's License; and
  • A can do attitude!
