Welcome to my home in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne,
My husband and I really enjoy being in our own home together. Some of our rose bushes have been in the garden for more than 20 years! Lately I haven't been able to do all the things I used to do and I depend on my husband. I finally realised that some extra assistance is needed. After speaking to our Doctor we were able to receive some extra support services.
We now have a dedicated Southern Cross Care Community Support Worker visiting us three times a week. She assists me with some personal care needs and takes me to physiotherapy classes. Most importantly I feel so happy that my husband and I can continue doing the things we most love in our own home.
It is essential to us that our Community Support Worker has a Certificate III qualification in Individual Support (Aged Care/HACC), a First Aid Certificate, own reliable car and police check clearance.
SCCV are seeking more CSW's to help others within the community and would encourage you to apply. You will need to be a kind, compassionate and supportive person and be understanding to others.
