Co.As.It Community Services provides quality in-home support services to the general community and specialises in the services to the CALDB (culturally and linguistically diverse background) community across the Brisbane area, Caboolture, Logan and South Coast.  We aim to empower clients by helping them maintain their independence in the comfort of their own home.  The roles are for casual employment, with ongoing shifts available.

About the role:

The demand for community care workers continues to increase as the population ages.  Working with the elderly is incredibly rewarding, as you are involved with so many aspects of their lives.  We are looking for exceptional care workers who are passionate and committed to supporting people to remain independent in their own homes.  As a community care worker you will be providing day to day support services that are varied and may include; domestic care, personal care, social support, respite care, transportation to and from appointments, meal preparation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate III Individual Support ( ageing, community or disability) or IV in Ageing support
• Police Check issued by the Australian Federal Police (within 6 months) https://afpnationalpolicechecks.converga.com.au/
• Own reliable motor vehicle with registration and comprehensive insurance
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Australian Citizen / Permanent Resident
• Acceptance of cultural diversity
• Preferable minimum 6 months industry experience
• Ability to communicate in another language (highly regarded)
• Flexible availability
• Exposure to Mental Health or Dementia is ideal, but not essential
