About the Opportunity

These hands-on roles include supporting people with a disability in their homes with daily care, participating in the community, supporting independence, using a strengths-based approach to developing skills, and promoting self-advocacy and decision-making.  You will be providing dedicated, personalised assistance.

As a team-player, you will liaise with the people we support, their families and carers, and you will use your energy and positivity to help motivate the people you support to try new things and live a full life!

To be successful in these roles you will need:

  • To understand that this work involves a commitment to individuals who depend on your support
  • Enthusiasm, initiative and a positive “can-do” approach
  • A commitment to promoting human rights, dignity, respect, and inclusion
  • Previous experience in a similar professional role
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Certificate III, IV or above in Disability Work or Community Services preferred
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • A current Australian drivers licence (essential)
  • Recent certification in medication administration and manual handling is desirable

     

    To be eligible for these positions you must provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, and obtain a clear Police Check (National and/or International if required)
