We employ over 600 people across 68 sites in NSW and support clients with low, moderate, high and very high support needs across all disabilities and backgrounds, in both group and individual programs.

The role

Due to continued growth Challenge Community Services is currently looking for a dedicated and passionate full-time Supervisor to join our Disability Support team based at in Oran Park.

This role works closely with our team who support for people with varying needs in our Challenge Accommodation, providing around the clock support to people with a disability. This position will be responsible for a number of homes, supervising staff and leading the team to success

The right candidate for this role will be passionate about making a difference in other peoples lives. We are looking for someone who is organized and flexible to be able to successfully lead a team. You’ll also:

  • Be an excellent communicator who enjoys engaging with a variety of people
  • Be able to implement changes and new initiatives smoothly and successfully
  • Have excellent time management skills and taking initiative for you is second nature
  • Be very organized, you’ll be able to organize yourself and your team around the needs of your clients
  • Has the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

The Essentials

  • Previous experience in leading and supporting a team
  • Previous experience in the disability support sector
  • You’ll be able to build and maintain strong relationships with others
  • A demonstrable ability to work well both autonomously and with a team
  • Able to be flexible and to work non-standard hours as required
  • A current NSW Working With Children’s check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Unencumbered NSW driver’s license

A qualification in Human Services, Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services is highly desirable for this position, although not essential.
