We are looking for highly skilled people to join a newly established team for a new home in the Goodna area. This will be home for 3 young ladies with complex support needs who are all moving out of their family homes.

We are looking for team members who can work regular evening shifts (3 - 11pm) and active overnight shifts (11pm -9am).

We are looking for 6-8 people to form this new team

• A  selection of full time, part time and casual positions available
• The girls are moving in during July 2018
• Regular weekly shifts available

We are looking for creative people with diverse and interesting life experiences who are passionate about enabling and facilitating young people with disabilities to explore and build new networks and relationships within their local community.

We are a small organisation offering high quality and niche services to a cohort of young people with complex and multiple disabilities requiring specialised supports.

Are you:

• Creative, energetic, innovative, passionate and committed
• highly skilled and competent in supporting people with a disability
• motivated by values of social justice and human rights for all
• Must have a current drivers licence
• eligible to hold a current Blue card & Yellow card
• accredited with a current First Aid Certificate and CPR

Skills we are looking for include:

• You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience supporting those with complex and multiple disabilities.
• You are passionate about being a support worker and view this as your career.
• You are excited about empowering those with multiple disabilities and complex health needs to engage in their communities and live awesome lives doing whatever they are interested in.
• You must be able to show initiative, work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
• Have experience with: Epilepsy management, Complex Communication Pathways, Personal Care, Manual handling and hoist transfers, PEG feeds
• Knowledge about and experience with Complex Communication Pathways eg. PODD, Proloquo2go, PECS

Previous experience is essential and a qualification is valued. We are looking for people with an interesting back story who are passionate about supporting people with disabilities. We are a culture of high capacity with high expectations of one another.
