Our existing Sydney sites spread from Windsor down to Nowra, and from Penrith to Ashfield with further expansion plans for 2018, and in Queensland we have sites in Beenleigh, Waterford, Southport with many more to follow.  We currently have a total staff of +-1500 employees, employed in full-time, part-time and casual capacities and we support over 2,500 clients daily.

About the opportunity
Due to our strategic move into Victoria, we are building a new Allied Health Team. The Sydney based team has enjoyed unprecedented growth and success, enjoying a 300% growth in 12 months. We are now looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the Melbourne based team. Some of the key responsibilities in this role will include, but not be limited to

  • Provide a high level of professional judgement and knowledge within the Occupational Therapist role within the Allied Health Team.
  • Pro-actively contribute to the on-going development of professional knowledge and skills in Occupational Therapy
  • Positively contribute to quality and business improvement.
  • Be recognised and registered
  • Always work on "best practice" solutions for our clients
  • Must be willing to travel in and around Logan and surrounding suburbs
  • Any and all other tasks as requested of you from time to time by management.
  • Meet Afford's compliance requirements in relation to statutory WHS standards
  • Meet Afford's compliance requirements in relation to ISO9001 quality standards

About the candidate
This is a key appointment within a highly regarded Allied Health Team within Afford and, as such, the successful candidate will not only need to display the relevant experience and skill set, but will also need to match the selection criteria as stated below:

  • Must have current registration with the APHRA
  • Current registration with Medicare Australia
  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of best practice in private occupational therapist customer service delivery
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Above average communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously in a complex environment with multiple demands and tight timelines
  • Computer literate
  • Must have a valid, VIC drivers' licence.
