The WorkReady program assists young people with a disability to build their capacity for further education and employment. The program focuses on creating vocational goals, life skills and sourcing real-life work experience opportunities. Classroom-based workshops allow participants to learn practical and soft skills for work in a group setting. With funding through the NDIS, participants are able to select which parts of the program will be most valuable for them, and you as their consultant will be able to tailor your approach. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Developing a person-centred plan with each participant
- Identifying employment and education goals
- Coordinating work experience placements
- Facilitating group training sessions
- Coordinating and attending social events and excursions
About you:
To be successful as a WorkReady Consultant, prior experience in Employment Services, education or disability/youth work is desirable, but not essential. If you have demonstrated experience in providing great customer service, meeting and exceeding KPIs and outcomes, and like working with people, then we would like to hear from you.
Essential criteria:
- Drivers licence
- Working with children clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong administrative skill set
- Understanding of person-centred approach
NDIS knowledge is desirable
